Kara-Lee has overcome many obstacles so far, including surviving and thriving after being diagnosed with severe anxiety, without the use of anti-anxiety medications. Yoga, meditation, and following a complete wellness plan saved her life. She believes that by training the mind using different types of meditation, brain training, and relaxation exercises while using yogic exercises to connect the body with the mind and breath we can prevent and heal from disease, trauma, and pain.
She has been traditionally trained in India at a Yoga Gurukul (ashram) in Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga Therapy. She is also a certified Reiki Healer and a trained Vipassana Meditation Guide. Her teaching style is deeply connected to the true yogic path.
Meditation for Charity
Once a month Mindfulocity will be hosting a meditation class for charity, led by Kara-Lee Burke. Meditation brings awareness and higher vibrational energy to causes in desperate need of our attention.
Our charitable focus begins with a local Halton Charity, SAVIS (Sexual Assault & Violence Intervention Services). SAVIS advocates against violence in the community and promotes prevention through community education. We all know someone who has been the victim of violence, whether we are conscious of it or not. Let’s come together to raise awareness and funds for this noble cause.
100% of the donations raised will go to SAVIS. We will be collecting information from all participants who donate a minimum of $20. The charity will issue you a receipt for your donation.
